WHY AMS III

Every senior graduates. Every senior is accepted.

AMS III is one of seven United Charter High Schools across New York City. Here, science, technology, engineering, art, and math come together in hands-on projects. Scholars learn by building, discussing, and solving problems as a team. Academic and social-emotional support are part of every day.

Our mission: To cultivate a STEAM learning environment strengthened by social-emotional and academic supports that incorporate our core values of P.R.I.D.E. (Patience, Responsibility, Integrity, Dedication, and Empathy) to promote lifelong learning.

PRINCIPAL

MEET THE PRINCIPAL

"Every senior graduates on time. Every senior is accepted to college."

AMS III sits on the Sheepshead Bay Educational Complex in Brooklyn. Our scholars take on engineering, college coursework, and real paid internships, and they do it in a school that knows them. The same assistant principal and counselor stay with your scholar from ninth grade through graduation. We'd love for your family to see how that happens, so come take a tour and ask us anything.

READY FOR WHAT COMES NEXT

College & Careers

From 9th grade on, scholars plan and practice for life after high school.

In the classroom: AP Seminar and AP Research, earning the AP Capstone Diploma · AP Computer Science Applications (new in 2026) · additional AP courses · College Now dual credit with Kingsborough Community College · Project Lead The Way courses that now carry college credit.

Beyond the classroom: Paid, full-year internships with Accenture, Kirkland & Ellis, Marcy Lab, and PKF O'Connor Davies · job shadowing · free trade classes for seniors through Renaissance Technical Institute · senior trips abroad.

Support at every step: An assistant principal and school counselor stay with your scholar's grade from 9th through 12th. Free after-school tutoring twice a week, one-to-one mental health support, and literacy and math intervention.

Where it lands: 99% of our scholars take college-level courses or earn a professional certificate. 100% are accepted to college, and more than 82% are still enrolled after their first year.

NAF ACADEMY

One academy. Three ways forward.

In 9th grade, scholars join the NAF academy and choose one of three pathways.

PATHWAY 2

Biomedical Science

Medicine, research, and lab work for scholars headed into health and science careers.
